How to prune crocus 'jeanne d'arc'

Tidy spent blooms after flowering (early to mid spring); remove foliage once fully yellowed (late spring). Pinch off or leave the spent flower — either is fine. Do not cut, braid, or remove the grassy leaves until they are entirely yellow and withered.

Annually, or leave completely undisturbed for naturalizing. Crocus 'Jeanne d'Arc' needs virtually no pruning. Once the white flowers fade, remove the spent blooms if desired for tidiness, but the foliage — thin grassy leaves — must be left completely alone until it yellows and dies back naturally, usually 4–6 weeks after flowering, so the corm stores energy for next year.
