Is Growli free?
Growli is free to download on iOS and Android, with no ads and no tracking pixels. The free tier covers your garden plan, weather-timed care tasks, frost alerts and the growing guides. Photo plant identification, photo diagnosis and unlimited chat are part of Growli Plus.
How much does Growli Plus cost?
Growli Plus is £34.99 a year in the UK or $44.99 a year in the US, and the yearly plan opens with a 7-day free trial. Monthly is £6.99 or $8.99, and weekly is £1.99 or $1.99. Prices are set per country by the App Store, so yours may differ if you are outside the UK or US.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 7 days, on the yearly plan. The monthly and weekly plans do not include a trial. If you cancel during the trial you are not charged.
What happens when the trial ends?
The yearly plan begins and your card is charged unless you cancel first. You can cancel any time from your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings, and you keep Plus until the period you have paid for runs out.
Is Growli cheaper than PictureThis or Planta?
No. Growli Plus at £34.99 a year is level with PictureThis Pro in the UK, and at $44.99 it is about five dollars more than PictureThis in the US. Planta Premium is $35.99 a year. We are not the cheapest plant app — what Growli does differently is multi-turn conversational diagnosis, a daily briefing tied to your local weather, and native UK (RHS) as well as US (USDA) references.
Do I need Plus to use Growli at all?
No. The daily plan, care tasks, frost alerts and growing guides work without paying, and most people can run a season on the free tier. Plus is worth it if you photograph plants to identify them or want a diagnosis from a picture rather than describing the symptoms.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings — not from inside Growli, because the stores handle billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
