Growli

About Growli

The gardening assistant that actually answers when you ask.

What we're building

Most gardening apps either identify plants or send you watering reminders. Growli does something different — it learns your climate, watches your weather, and tells you what to do, when, and why. The closest comparison is a knowledgeable friend who texts you the right advice at the right time.

We started Growli because we watched too many friends and family give up on gardening. Not because they didn't care — they did. But the instructions never quite fit their specific climate, their specific plants, their specific soil. Generic advice killed more plants than neglect.

Growli closes that gap. Tell us what you're growing (or photograph it). We'll handle the timing, the diagnoses, the frost warnings, and the "wait, was I supposed to do something today?" question.

How Growli works

  1. Add your garden in 2 minutes. Snap photos or pick from our species list. Tell us where you live so we can ground every suggestion in your local climate.
  2. Get a daily morning briefing.Today's tasks, the weather that matters, and any urgent care needs — all in 3 minutes of reading.
  3. Snap photos when something looks off.Yellowing leaves, suspicious spots, pests you can't identify — we'll diagnose them and walk you through the fix.
  4. Build a track record over time.Growli remembers what you planted, what worked, and what didn't. Every season, the advice gets more specific to your garden.

Who's behind Growli

Growli is built by a small team in Lithuania, operating under YNMO LTD (UK Companies House #13293288).

Justas Macys — CEO and co-founder. Justas leads product and strategy, with a focus on making the daily experience feel like talking to a friend rather than operating a database.

Nojus Balčiūnas — CTO and co-founder. Nojus leads the conversational AI engineering, the photo-based diagnosis pipeline, and the climate-data infrastructure that powers every personalized suggestion.

Our SEO and content infrastructure is built in collaboration with Jonas Čelkis, who runs the gardening-content publishing engine — including the 300+ guides and tools you'll find across this site.

What we believe

Where we work

Growli is built for English-speaking gardeners in the United States and United Kingdom. Our climate data is most accurate in those two markets — frost dates, USDA hardiness zones, RHS hardiness ratings, and seasonal timing.

The core features (chat, identification, care guides) work globally, but we're expanding hyperlocal data to more regions through 2026.

Straight answers about who we are

Is Growli legit?

Yes. Growli is built by YNMO LTD, a UK-registered company (Companies House #13293288 — the register entry is public), founded by Justas Macys and Nojus Balčiūnas. The app has 6,000+ downloads across the US and UK and holds a 4.8-star average on the App Store across both storefronts. It is free to download with no ads and no tracking pixels; the paid tier is a standard App Store subscription you can cancel in your phone settings at any time.

Why does the App Store say the seller is "GardenPack"?

GardenPack is the publisher-of-record name on our Apple developer account, and uk.co.gardenpack.app is the Android package identifier — a string Google does not allow anyone to change after first publication. Same company, earlier name. The gardening app itself is Growli, only at getgrowli.app, and it is unrelated to other businesses that use the Growli name elsewhere (an AI-courses site and an Amazon design agency among them).

Why does my receipt say "Gardenpack Plus"?

Because the subscription product was registered under the earlier GardenPack name, and that is the label Apple prints on the paywall and the receipt. It is the same Growli Plus subscription described on our pricing page — £34.99 a year in the UK or $44.99 in the US, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. You have not been charged for a different product.

Where do Growli reviews come from?

The rating we quote — 4.8 stars — is the weighted average of our public App Store listings: 4.9 from about 149 ratings on the UK storefront and 4.6 from about 59 on the US one, checked July 2026. We do not buy reviews and the counts are small enough to verify by opening the listings yourself; both are linked in the company details above.
