Dischidia is a genus of tropical epiphytic vines in the milkweed family, native to Southeast Asia and Australasia. Species such as String of Nickels (D. nummularia) and D. ruscifolia 'Variegata' produce small, coin-shaped or succulent leaves and trail beautifully from hanging baskets. They thrive in bright indirect light and prefer to dry out slightly between waterings — their epiphytic roots are highly susceptible to rot.
