Fuchsia pilaloensis is a rare scrambling shrub or liana endemic to Ecuador's Cotopaxi province, named after the Pilalo area where it was first collected. It grows in wet tropical cloud forests and can clamber up to 8 m into trees in its native habitat, bearing pendant tubular flowers typical of the genus.
