What's eating my sansevieria forskaliana?

Sansevieria forskaliana (Arabian Bowstring Hemp) is a tough succulent snake plant that still falls prey to mealybugs nestled at the base of its stiff leaves, and to spider mites in low-humidity rooms. Fungus gnats are a risk only if overwatered. Its thick cuticle slows damage but does not prevent it — check monthly.
