What's eating my pampas grass?

Pampas Grass is extremely robust and largely pest free. Aphids, scale insects, and mealybugs can occasionally take hold on stems, and rust may develop in humid weather. The sharp-edged blades deter most grazing animals. Serious infestations are uncommon; good hygiene and annual cutting-back prevent most problems.
