What's eating my hoya celata?

Hoya celata is a rare trailing hoya cultivated as a houseplant. Like all hoyas kept indoors, it is most at risk from mealybugs and spider mites. Its slender stems can harbor scale on closer inspection. Because it is rarely available commercially, protecting the plant from pests is a high priority for collectors.
