What's eating my homalomena sp. selby?

Homalomena sp. Selby is a tough tropical aroid but still susceptible to spider mites in dry conditions and mealybugs hiding in its dense leaf axils. Scale can encrust stems unnoticed. Because Homalomena tolerates low light, it often sits in conditions where poor air circulation accelerates pest spread. Check stems and undersides monthly.

Pale stippling across leaf surfaces; fine webbing under leaves in dry indoor environments; leaves dull and bronze. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth, raise humidity, and spray neem oil or insecticidal soap every 7 days for 3 weeks.
