What's eating my haworthia tessellata?

Haworthia tessellata (Veined Haworthia), prized for its distinctive reticulated leaf windows, is most at risk from mealybugs in the rosette centre and root mealybugs below the soil. Spider mites can occur in hot, dry air. The tessellated window tissue is fragile once damaged; act at the first sign of wax or webbing to protect the plant's key ornamental feature.
