What's eating my epipremnum aureum snow queen?

Epipremnum aureum 'Snow Queen' is a highly variegated pothos with heavily bleached-white leaves. The low chlorophyll content makes it slightly less vigorous than standard golden pothos, so pest stress is harder to shake off. Mealybugs, spider mites, and scale are the main threats indoors; fungus gnats target the soil if kept too wet.

White fluffy deposits at stem nodes and along trailing vines; sticky residue and yellowing near affected growth. Treat with 70% isopropyl alcohol on a swab, then spray the entire plant with neem oil or insecticidal soap weekly.

Pale stippling across white and green leaf sectors; webbing underneath; plants in dry heated rooms most at risk. Shower the plant, raise humidity, and apply neem oil or miticide; white sectors may show discoloration earliest.

Hard brownish bumps on stems; leaves become dull and sticky with honeydew drip. Scrape scale off manually and apply horticultural oil; inspect monthly as crawlers are nearly invisible to the naked eye.

Root damage from larvae in waterlogged soil; adults flying around the pot. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out, use sticky traps for adults, and apply Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) drench for larvae.
