Echinodorus grisebachii 'Bleherae' is a compact, reliable aquarium sword. Like other Echinodorus, it is most commonly damaged by snails grazing its leaves and by algae taking hold on older blades in tanks with inconsistent lighting or CO2. Outdoor pond specimens may encounter aquatic moth larvae in summer.
