What's eating my corn-leaf pitcairnia?

Corn-Leaf Pitcairnia has long, strap-like leaves resembling corn foliage and is grown in warm greenhouses or bright humid rooms. It does not hold a water cup, so it is particularly vulnerable to spider mites in dry conditions. Mealybugs hide along the long leaf midrib. Thrips can also rasp the leaf surface in dry greenhouse conditions.
