What's eating my coelogyne massangeana?

Coelogyne massangeana, a pendant-flowering tropical species, is most susceptible to scale insects and mealybugs, which easily hide along its long pendant flower spikes and inside leaf sheaths. Spider mites can attack during warm, dry spells. Vigilant inspection of new growths prevents colonies becoming established.
