What's eating my coarctata haworthia?

Haworthiopsis coarctata (Coarctata Haworthia) shares the upright clustering form of related species and is most troubled by mealybugs hiding between its dense, white-warted leaves. Root mealybugs and spider mites are secondary pests. Its tendency to form tall columns with tightly stacked leaves makes visual inspection challenging; gently fan leaves apart and check the stem at each inspection.
