What's eating my clivia 'doris joy'?

Clivia 'Doris Joy' is a tough indoor flowering plant. Mealybugs are the most persistent pest, hiding deep in the strap-like leaf bases where they are hard to reach. Scale insects colonise leaves and stems. Root rot from fungus gnats in over-watered pots can also undermine the plant. Inspect the leaf bases at every watering.
