What's eating my chamaerops humilis cerifera?

Chamaerops humilis var. cerifera (Blue Mediterranean Fan Palm) is a tough, drought-adapted palm but can be attacked by scale insects and spider mites, especially during hot summers. Outdoors, slugs and snails may damage young fronds. In the UK and cooler climates, vine weevil grubs can damage container-grown roots. Good drainage and airflow minimise most problems.
