Brazilian rain tree bonsai is most commonly troubled by spider mites in the warm indoor air, and by scale or mealybugs in bark crevices. Aphids can cluster on new growth during active growing periods. Its fine bipinnate leaves show mite damage quickly as pale stippling. Regular inspection and high humidity are the best prevention.

Pale silvery stippling on tiny leaflets; fine webbing at growing tips; leaflets close early and may drop. Mist leaves daily; spray with neem oil or miticide; reduce ambient heat and increase airflow around the tree.
