What's eating my begonia schmidtiana?

Begonia schmidtiana, a fibrous-rooted species often grown as a flowering groundcover or patio plant, attracts mealybugs and spider mites indoors and slugs outdoors. Powdery mildew is common in cool humid conditions. When grown outside in mild climates, check for slug damage on soft, hairy leaves after wet nights.
