What's eating my crispy wave fern?

Crispy Wave Fern (Asplenium nidus 'Crispy Wave') is a popular houseplant fern whose wavy, glossy fronds are most often attacked by scale insects and mealybugs sheltering in the central rosette. Spider mites cause frond tip browning in dry rooms. Fungus gnats breed in waterlogged compost. High humidity and good drainage reduce all major risks.
