What's eating my aloe greatheadii?

Aloe greatheadii (spotted aloe) is a striking South African species grown as a houseplant for its spotted, toothed leaves. Like other indoor aloes, mealybugs and scale are the main pests. The spotted leaf texture can make early pest detection harder — look for sticky residue and distorted new growth as early signs.
