What's eating my aloe globuligemma?

Aloe globuligemma is a South African aloe with distinctive globose flower buds, grown as a houseplant specimen. Indoors it faces mealybugs and scale as the main pest risks. The flower stems, when present, can attract mealybugs. Check the rosette base and any emerging flower spikes carefully.
