What's eating my agave sobria?

Agave sobria is a slender-leaved Mexican agave suitable for bright indoor spots. Mealybugs in the leaf axils and agave snout weevil in the crown are its two main pest threats. Scale insects can settle on the narrower leaves. The relatively open rosette structure of this species makes pest detection easier than in tight-headed agaves.
