Campanula latifolia is a tall, stately herbaceous perennial native to damp, shaded woodlands, streamsides, and hedgerows across Europe and western Asia, including much of upland Britain. It produces large, broadly bell-shaped violet-blue or white flowers along sturdy upright stems in midsummer, naturalising readily in woodland gardens and shaded borders.
