When should I prune silver pothos?
Spring, during the onset of active growth. Cut stems just above a node using clean scissors. Avoid cutting back more than one-third of the plant at one time to prevent stress.
How often does silver pothos need pruning?
Every 1–2 years, or as needed. Silver pothos (Scindapsus pictus) needs minimal pruning. Trim long or bare stems back to a node in spring to encourage fuller growth and new branching. Remove yellowing or damaged leaves promptly. It grows more slowly than Epipremnum pothos, so light, infrequent tidying is all that is typically needed.
