Annually in spring, or whenever stems become noticeably etiolated. Many Fingers (Sedum pachyphyllum) benefits from occasional trimming when it becomes leggy or sprawling. Pinch stem tips in spring to encourage branching and a more compact form. It tends to etiolate in low light, so pruning is most useful after a dim winter. Cuttings root very readily.
