After flowering ends; this species can bloom multiple times per year. Snip spent flower spikes cleanly at the base with sterile scissors. Cut only fully desiccated canes; retain all green growth to support future bloom cycles.

As needed after each flowering; may be required two or three times per year. Brassavola nodosa requires very little pruning. This fragrant, compact orchid blooms from the tip of new growth on thin cane-like pseudobulbs. Remove spent flower spikes after all flowers have dropped. Never cut green canes or pseudobulbs.
