Annually after flowering, or as needed for shape. Easter Cactus benefits from selective segment removal after flowering to encourage branching and more blooms the following year. Pinch or twist off one or two stem segments at a joint on overly long or lopsided stems. This is the same principle used for Schlumbergera (Christmas cactus). Otherwise this plant needs no significant pruning.
