How to prune clematis 'miss bateman'

Late winter to early spring (February–March). Remove all dead or damaged stems at the base. Cut healthy stems back to the topmost pair of strong, visible buds — typically 30–90 cm above ground depending on growth. After the first flowering, a light deadhead and optional removal of finished stems can encourage the second flush.

Clematis 'Miss Bateman' is Group 2, flowering first in late spring on old wood with creamy-white blooms, then again in late summer on new growth.
