When should I prune cascade hops?
Spring: train and select shoots; post-harvest in autumn: cut all bines to ground level. In late autumn, use loppers to cut all bines to 3–4 inches (8–10 cm) above ground. Come spring, let shoots emerge, then select the 2–3 strongest per hill and train them clockwise up strings or a trellis. Remove remaining shoots at soil level.
