How often does baseball plant need pruning?
Never under normal conditions — only emergency rot removal. Baseball Plant (Euphorbia obesa) requires no pruning whatsoever. It is a naturally globular, solitary succulent that does not branch or elongate in normal conditions. Simply remove any dead or shrivelled tissue if rot occurs. Pruning this plant is unnecessary and any cuts expose it to the same toxic latex risk as other euphorbias.
