1-2 times per growing season. Balearic box (Buxus balearica) is the largest-leaved Buxus species, growing more vigorously than common box. It can be clipped for hedges and topiary but its larger leaves make fine topiary harder — shears leave more visible cut edges. Clip once or twice a season to shape. In UK climates it is less cold-hardy so site sheltered and avoid late-autumn cuts.
