White Prairie Clover problems — and how to fix them
White Prairie Clover (Dalea candida) is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Root rot in poorly drained soil
Wet, heavy ground rots the taproot and is the most common cause of failure. Plant only in sharply drained, lean soil and avoid overwatering.
Resents transplanting
The deep taproot makes mature plants hard to move successfully. Direct-sow or set out only young container plants to avoid disturbing the root.
Slow to establish and bloom
