Tagar problems — and how to fix them
Tagar (Valeriana wallichii) is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Root rot in waterlogged soil
The biggest cultivation failure: despite needing moist soil, the roots rot rapidly in standing water. Use raised beds or containers with ample drainage holes; incorporate grit into heavy clay soils before planting.
