Sugarloaf Pineapple problems — and how to fix them
Sugarloaf Pineapple (Ananas comosus 'Sugarloaf') is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Root and crown rot
The most common killer, caused by heavy soil or overwatering. Use a gritty mix, let it dry between waterings, and never leave water sitting in the pot.
Slow or no fruiting
