Scindapsus aureus problems — and how to fix them
Scindapsus aureus (Scindapsus aureus) is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Fading variegation
Gold and cream marbling reverts toward green in low light. Move to brighter indirect light to keep the variegation strong.
Yellow leaves
Typically overwatering or soggy soil. Let the top several centimetres dry between waterings and ensure the pot drains.
Brown leaf tips
Often dry air, underwatering or salt build-up. Water more evenly, flush the soil occasionally and raise humidity slightly.
Leggy bare stems
