Panda Plant problems — and how to fix them
Panda Plant (Kalanchoe tomentosa) is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Root rot from overwatering
Yellowing, mushy or translucent leaves and a soft stem base signal soggy compost. Let the mix dry fully between drinks, use a gritty succulent blend, and ensure the pot drains freely.
Leggy, stretched growth
Long bare stems and widely spaced leaves mean not enough light. Move it to your brightest window; the rosette will not re-compact, so behead and re-root the tip if needed.
