Notched Butterwort problems — and how to fix them

Leaf browning from low humidity
Unlike drier-habitat Mexican Pinguicula, P. emarginata dislikes low humidity; leaf margins begin to brown and curl if ambient humidity drops below 50% for extended periods. Use a humidity tray or locate in a naturally humid room such as a bathroom with good indirect light.
Crown fungal rot
The combination of high humidity and poor airflow can trigger grey mould (Botrytis) in the cupped rosette centre. Ensure gentle air movement around the plant, avoid overhead watering onto the leaves, and remove any dying leaf tissue promptly.
