Reluctant to flower in cultivation
It often grows leaves but withholds blooms away from its native climate. Give maximum sun, sharp drainage and a proper hot, dry summer rest.
Tuber rot in cold wet
Winter waterlogging or watering during dormancy rots the tuber. Plant in gritty, free-draining soil and keep dormant tubers dry.
