Lichang Chirita problems — and how to fix them
Lichang Chirita (Chirita lichangensis) is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Rot in warm, wet conditions
Being a montane species, C. lichangensis is more prone to rot in warm, humid, wet conditions than tropical relatives. Keep on the drier side in summer and ensure good airflow around the plant.

This species often requires a cool winter rest (10–14°C) to initiate flowering. If grown in consistently warm rooms year-round, flowering may be sparse or absent. A cool bright windowsill in winter helps.
