Grey Saltbush problems — and how to fix them
Grey Saltbush (Atriplex cinerea) is generally low-drama, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Frost damage
Frost-tender; prolonged temperatures below 0°C will kill stems back to the base or kill the plant entirely — grow against a sheltered south- or west-facing wall in frost-prone areas, or overwinter cuttings under glass.

Poor drainage causes rapid root and crown rot; always plant in sharply drained soil or on a raised bed, particularly in UK climates where winter wet persists.
