Chinese White Pine problems — and how to fix them
Chinese White Pine (Pinus armandii) is generally forgiving once you match its basics, but a few issues come up again and again. Here is what each one looks like, why it happens, and the fix.
Root rot in wet soil
White pines are especially intolerant of soggy roots. Plant in a gritty, fast-draining mix and let the surface dry between waterings to protect the roots and their mycorrhizae.
