Wisteria9 species

Wisteria is a genus of vigorous, twining woody vines celebrated for cascading clusters of fragrant violet, blue, white, or pink blossoms in spring. They perform best in full sun — a minimum of six hours of direct light — in fertile, well-drained soil; once established, they prefer slightly dry conditions, as excess moisture and high nitrogen suppress flowering in favor of foliage. All Wisteria species, including Wisteria sinensis, American wisteria, and Kentucky wisteria, are toxic to cats and dogs, with seeds and pods being especially dangerous.
