Tropaeolum is a genus of vigorous, fast-growing flowering plants native to South America, best known through the garden Nasturtium (T. majus) and its climbing relatives like Canary Creeper and Flame Nasturtium. They bloom prolifically in full sun to partial shade and prefer soil on the drier, poorer side — rich, wet conditions push foliage over flowers. Water moderately and allow soil to dry between waterings to avoid rot.
