Scindapsus15 species

Part of the Aroids family (Araceae)

Scindapsus is a tropical aroid genus from Southeast Asia best known for its silvery, matte-variegated foliage — Silver Pothos (S. pictus) and Treubii Moonlight being collector favourites. Despite common names linking them to pothos, Scindapsus is a distinct genus. They tolerate lower light but show their best variegation in bright indirect light; water when the top half of the soil has dried out, as the genus resents staying constantly wet. All Scindapsus species are toxic to cats, dogs, and horses due to insoluble calcium oxalates, causing oral irritation, drooling, and vomiting — keep them out of reach of pets.
