Rotala7 species

Part of the Pond & aquarium plants family (Pond & aquarium plants)

Rotala is a genus of slender, stem-forming aquatic plants widely grown as submerged aquarium plants or in shallow bog margins. Species such as Rotala rotundifolia, R. macrandra, and R. wallichii are prized for their feathery whorled leaves and vivid colour range — from lime green in low light to deep red or pink under high-intensity aquarium lighting. They grow rapidly with strong light and benefit from CO2 supplementation. Keep them fully or partially submerged in warm, nutrient-rich water. All Rotala species are toxic to cats and dogs.
