Nidularium8 species

Nidularium is a genus of rosette-forming bromeliads native to Brazil, grown for their dramatic, deeply cupped foliage that flushes bright red at the centre as they approach flowering. They thrive indoors in bright, indirect light — avoid harsh direct sun, which scorches the leaves. Like many bromeliads, they are watered through their central 'vase': keep it filled with chlorine-free water, emptying and refilling regularly to prevent bacterial build-up. Water the soil only when the top layer dries out. Humidity of 60–70% suits them well. The ASPCA confirms bromeliads are non-toxic to cats and dogs.
