Cattleya15 species

Cattleya orchids — the classic corsage flowers — are epiphytic showstoppers native to Central and South America, spanning species such as Queen Cattleya (C. dowiana) and Skinner's Cattleya (C. skinneri). They need bright, indirect light with some direct morning or late-afternoon sun to bloom reliably; an east- or south-facing windowsill is ideal. Water thoroughly then allow the bark medium to dry out partially before watering again. According to the ASPCA, Cattleya orchids are non-toxic to cats and dogs, making them a safe and spectacular choice for pet-friendly homes.
