Blechnum — 13 species
Blechnum is a genus of ladder-leaf ferns known for their distinctive pinnate fronds that unfurl in coppery-pink tones before maturing to deep green. Brazilian Tree Fern, Moore's Blechnum, Hammock Fern, and Heart-leaved Blechnum all prefer bright to medium indirect light and consistently moist soil — water thoroughly two or more times a week and never allow the root ball to dry out completely, as drought quickly causes browning. Toxicity varies among species in the genus, so verify the safety of your specific Blechnum before placing it where cats or dogs can reach it.
