Actinidia — 13 species
Actinidia is a genus of vigorous deciduous vines from East Asia that includes the familiar kiwifruit (A. deliciosa), the cold-hardy 'Ananasnaya', and the ornamental A. kolomikta, whose leaves flush white and pink in spring sun. All species need a sturdy support structure and thrive in full sun to part shade with at least six hours of direct light daily. Water regularly, keeping soil evenly moist but well-drained. Toxicity varies across the genus — check each species before buying, and consult your vet if a pet ingests any part of the plant.
